I'm excited to be part of Saint John's second "Fog Lit Festival", taking place October 1-5, 2014!
Please come out to the Kennebecasis Public Library in Quispamsis on Saturday, October 4th, when I'll be reading at the "Storytime for Children" at 2:30 p.m.

Hello, I would have love to have meet you at this event but sadly we live in Ottawa now. We have been bringing our two boys back to the sea each year so they can know the Maritimes like we do. One year I found East to the Sea at the NB Museum in SJ and was beautiful. I feel like you are writing our story. So, of course, we bought Return to the Sea the next year. After that we found Beach Day in St Martins. (I am in love with the Quaco lighthouse). We read these books every year, so much so that one is starting to loose it's pages. I don't know how many times I have quoted "We can't take it that far from the ocean tide's reach" but I think they ask me just so I'll say it. Anyway... I have been looking for the Nothing To Do Day book and finally decided to order it online but they have now come back and said it is unavailable. Could you tell me where I might be able to find it. Or a relative in NB?
Thank you so much. We love your stories.
Hello Janet! I've finally figured out how to reply to comments - still not sure how to reply to you directly, so will have to make due with an answer here. 'A Nothing-To-Do Day' is a tricky one to find! It was originally published in 2005 by DreamCatcher Publishing, and after they went through some re-organizing, I purchased all remaining copies. It is available seasonally (May-October) in St. Martins at Sandpipers gift shop, located right across the street from the Lighthouse tourist information centre in the harbour.
